Becker CPA Examination Preparation Scholarship Application
The Tulsa Chapter of AFWA recognizes the needs of students in preparing for the CPA examination. We are teaming with Becker to award one Becker CPA, CMA, or CIA Prep course (with a total value of up to $3,199) to a candidate who meets the qualifications as a result of persistence and high performance that predicts future success. Scholarship candidates will be reviewed on leadership, character, communication skills, and scholastic average. Special priority will be given to women and to students who have experienced unforeseen life circumstances and/or unique personal and academic challenges, as described in an essay.
Criteria include:
By the time of the application deadline, student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university and must be within TWO SEMESTERS from completing the qualifications required by the Oklahoma Accountancy Board to submit a “Qualification Application for Eligibility (OAB Form E001)” for the CPA exam, available at the following link: https://www.ok.gov/oab_web/Forms/index.html. Student must have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent. The requirements set forth by the Oklahoma Accountancy Board to qualify as a candidate for the CPA exam and the dates expected to be met must be included in the completed application.An official transcript(s) must be included supporting the applicant’s work performed leading to exam eligibility. Scholarship must be redeemed by July 31, 2027.

The award is only valid for courses occurring after the scholarship has been awarded and cannot be retroactively applied to previous review coursework.
